Submission of Artwork and Graphics
We can work from PDFs and most native files. The exceptions are files created in PowerPoint or Word; if you are using either of these programs you must convert your file to a PDF in order for us to print your job.
Files created in RGB must be converted to CMYK before they can be printed on a four-color press. This conversion may result in a slight shift in color. By preparing and reviewing your files in CMYK, you will have a better idea of how your printed piece will look.
Also, when preparing your document, be sure text and graphics are placed appropriately within crop marks. If you are preparing a document with a bleed, we recommend that you build your file with an extra 1/8 of an inch on each side. Please ask us for guidelines.
Color Proofing and Accuracy
At Printing World our color standard is what is known in the industry as “pleasing color.” Because computer monitors vary, PDF proofs can be used to help display layout, text accuracy, and image placement and proportion, and to give a fairly accurate interpretation of color or density. Although we will make every effort to match colors and/or ink densities as shown on PDF proofs, we cannot guarantee exact matches.
It is the client’s responsibility to review and approve the proof of all orders prior to actual printing. Any errors or omissions on the proof will show up on the printed piece. Once the proof has been approved and a job has been “sent to print” by the client, no further changes can be made to that order. Printing World will not accept responsibility for typographical errors, errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, graphics, fonts or content. Printing World will not be held responsible for client errors in finished product sizes, wrong cuts, or missing or incorrect folds.
If you need to make changes to your artwork after receiving your proof, please resubmit your files.
Payment and Billing
All prices are shown in GBP or Euros. Payment terms depends on order and agreement.
Changes and Cancellations
Once you have approved a proof, your job is “sent to press” and there can be no cancellations or changes to the artwork files, job specifications or printing turnaround time.
Shipping and Delivery of Printed Materials
Our shipment and delivery dates are based upon estimates provided by our shipping suppliers. Printing World will make every attempt to avoid delays in production and shipping, however, we will not be held responsible for delays caused by technical problems, shipping company delays, weather conditions or any other circumstances beyond our control.
In the event that unexpected production or shipment delays occur as a result of technical problems or equipment malfunction or failure, rush charges/fees will be refunded or waived by Printing World, where applicable. However, order cancellations will not be allowed.
If your order is damaged in transit, we will reprint your materials and ship them to you at no cost. Please contact us within three days of receipt of your package to get a return authorization. You must then return the entire order within 7 days of the date you received it. Any charges related to expedited orders (rush printing or shipping) are non-refundable. To receive a reprint you must include every piece (sheet) sent to you in unused condition, and you must comply with the timeframes stated above.
In the case that a customer supplies the wrong shipping address and a package is returned to PRP as “undeliverable,” Printing World will reship the package (to the corrected address) and charge the customer for the additional shipping.
Returns and Refunds
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. In the unlikely event that you find what you believe to be a manufacturing error, please contact us within three days of the receipt of your package. On a case-by-case basis, we will evaluate the work and determine if a discount, reprint or other resolution is appropriate. Printing World reserves the exclusive right to judge what constitutes a manufacturing error or defect.
There will be absolutely no discounts or reprints if Printing World is not notified within three days of your receipt of the order. Any charges related to expedited orders (rush printing or shipping) are non-refundable. To receive a reprint you must include every piece (sheet) sent to you in unused condition, and you must comply with the timeframes stated above.
